Fine Art

In Art 8 and 9 We'll focus on how visual stimuli is organized. We'll learn to look at, understand, and interpret the visual information that surrounds us. We'll learn to make art using both traditional and contemporary media. We'll discuss values placed on art, and the creation of art. We'll use this knowledge to discuss how art is interpreted by other people. We'll gain confidence in the expression of emotion through art, and we'll learn to be able to make qualitative judgments about art.

In Art 10/20/30 we'll focus on three major components of visual learning. We'll develop our drawing skills, our ability to compose an image or series of images, and we'll develop our ability to communicate ideas through our art. We'll work to develop our skills in drawing, painting, and sculpture.
